Membership in the AJS-Qld inc is open to all individuals, companies and organisations interested in Australia and Japan relations.
Newsletter
Receipt of the Society's monthly newsletter, the Go-Nichi Newsletter, which features topical articles on issues both in Japan and Japan-related activities in Queensland and Australia. Members can also nominate to receive email updates from the Society.
Special Member rates
Special Member rates for all Society exhibits,lectures,seminars and social functions and other activites aimed at encouraging greater mutual understanding between Australia and Japan.
Japanese language classes
Japanese language classes at special member rates at Society-sponsored language classes, in addition to information on many informal opportunities to participate in Japanese-language meetings and social functions.
Networking
Opportunities to meet and network with top-level Japanese guest speakers and dignitaries from the fields of business, government, diplomacy, academia and cultural affairs,at regular lunch and dinner meetings
Meet local Japanese residents through regular social functions, such as barbeques, picnic outings and golf days.
Functions
Immersion in Japanese-language functions such as regular Japanese film nights, depicting contemporary Japanese life and culture.
Ladies group activities covering aspects of Japanese culture such as flower arrangements, tea ceremony, Japanese cuisine, and other Japanese crafts.
Young members group, consisting of high school, university and other young members who meet for both social and business networking functions.
