Casting Call – Seeking Japanese Actors
Tourist” is a 10 minute student short film being shot on the Gold Coast and various areas in northern NSW between the 11th and 15th of June, 2012.
The story follows Ena (31), a Japanese mother who lives a life without passion. She stays at home most days caring for her 5-year-old daughter, Keiko, while her husband, Hiroshi (35), works late hours. As Ena packs for a family holiday to Australia, a souvenir reignites infatuation from a past relationship. When she stumbles upon this past lover, the borders of fantasy and reality are blurred. When everything comes full circle, Ena must redefine the circumstances of her marriage or risk having her life fall to pieces.
We are looking to fill the following roles:
• One Japanese female (25-35) to play Ena (LEAD ROLE)[JAPANESE SPEAKING]
• One Japanese male (30-40) to play Hiroshi (SUPPORTING ROLE)[JAPANESE SPEAKING]
• One Japanese girl (4-7) to play Keiko (BIT PART)
